Nisemonogatari Character Redesigns
Gotta admit, I’m a big fan of the changes. Hitagi with a new hairstyle is nothing new, of course, as she had enough different hair styles in the original Bakemonogatari show, but it’s quite something to see Tsubasa Hanekawa with her hair cut short and having lost the glasses. She has lost that bookish library girl nerd charm, but now looks more playful, perhaps more confident in herself.
Suruga’s change is perhaps most noticeable due to the complete change in attire, which is quite sexy. Her new shoulder length hair adds to her wild charm. Nadeko has lost her hat and jacket, showing us more of her hair, and also making her look more skinny. She still looks young (which she is), but the greater emphasis on her lanky body type helps to make her look older. There’s the headband as well, which moves her hair out of the way to show her face, a sharp contrast to how she would hide herself with her hat, as well as the hair drooping down in front of her eyes. Perhaps her personality has changed accordingly?
Although, I miss the glasses on Tsubasa. But all of them are still cute. :D
Truthfully… I liked some of the old designs better.
There was something about Senjougahara’s long hair that made her just appeal to the eyes… I think it was just the flow of it, but it was really nice.
No remarks on Kanbaru. Me gusta.
I liked Nadeko better with the hat… but overall, nice change.
Finally, Hanekawa… She looks like a completely different person… but maybe that’s what they were getting at. I loved her beautiful braids and the cat ribbons she had on. The glasses were there just for the moe, but I personally liked it. She kinda reminds me of old Kanbaru actually. Overall, this just makes me sad… but I guess I can’t judge a book by its cover. *waits for Nisemonogatari anime*
